About PPPGE
The Professional Postgraduate Program in Education (PPPGE) is a new proposition, of applied research, submitted for the first time to Capes evaluation, in accordance with Normative Ordinance No. 17 of December 28, 2009. However, it results from the experience of the group of researchers of the Academic Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE) by bringing together and expanding this group with other researchers who belong to the permanent staff of UFT in the area of Human Sciences.
The professional master's degree is a stricto sensu postgraduate course and confers prerogatives identical to those provided by academic master's degrees, with which it shares evaluation criteria from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), which also assigns other specific criteria to them.
Its peculiarities arise, above all, from the meaning given to high-level professional qualifications and research, which must be oriented towards development and innovation.
In structuring the PPPGE curriculum, we seek to establish close relationships with education systems, articulating science and technology, high-quality research, and contextualized practical intervention.
Its objective is to train masters in education, through applied research, for teaching at the K-12 level, working with teaching as an educational action and methodical and intentional pedagogical process that includes participation in the organization and management of school and non-school systems and educational institutions.
