Research Line I: Specific Curricula for Stages and Modalities of Education:
It includes investigations on teacher training and the professional exercise of teaching functions: organization, planning, management and evaluation of the classroom and educational systems based on the curricular guidelines of K-12 education and its respective stages and modalities: Early Childhood Education, Elementary and Secondary Education, Education in the Countryside, Indigenous Education, Quilombola Education, Special Education, for Young People and Adults in Situations of Deprivation of Liberty in penal establishments, Professional Technical Education at Secondary Level, Education for Young People and Adults, Environmental Education, Education in Human Rights, Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations, Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture.
Research Line II: Teaching and Learning Methods and Techniques in K-12 Education:
It covers investigations of the process of teaching and learning the Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Sciences, History, Geography, Art and Corporeality in different institutional situations: school, community, welfare and business and the educational practices of babies, young children, young people, adults and elderly people in their physical, cognitive, affective, aesthetic, cultural, playful, artistic, ethical and biosocial dimensions, relating the different languages, codes and their technologies in the areas of knowledge to the didactic-pedagogical processes in an integrated way and appropriate to the different intergenerational relationships, recognizing diversity, respecting environmental-ecological, ethnic-racial, cultural, sexual and gender differences.
