About PPGEA

The Postgraduate Program in Environmental Engineering (PPGEA), based at the Palmas University Campus of UFT, currently offers the Professional Master's in Environmental Engineering (MPEA), the only master’s-level program in the Engineering I area of Capes in the region. The MPEA aims to address the significant shortage of qualified professionals in the fields of engineering, environment, water resources, and environmental sanitation in the Legal Amazon region, which currently represents approximately 60% of Brazil’s territory. In this context, its research lines, organized into two areas of concentration (Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation), are designed to address the specificities of this region, with particular focus on the state of Tocantins.
