Research Lines

The Program in Governance and Digital Transformation includes two lines of research:

Research Line I: Digital Governance in Organizations:

This program addresses the development of methodologies, techniques, and processes for the digital governance of organizations, with an interdisciplinary approach. It involves the digital transformation of organizations, aiming to fully exercise citizenship in the digital world and provide services to society.
The transformative foundations of digital science are based on data-driven management and economics, the connectivity of technological devices, new business models, and citizenship; promoting research, development, and innovation. This line of research aims to develop educational and professional skills appropriate for the digital economy and the integration of digital citizenship.

Research Line II: Computational Modeling for Digital Transformation:

It addresses the development of theoretical models of physical systems and their analysis through computational simulations; the optimized solution of complex systems; the development and description of methodologies and quantitative models of complex systems, their implementation and evaluation. It involves research in optimization and simulation of knowledge in different areas, encompassing the use of mathematical-computational models and optimization techniques, aimed at supporting decision-making processes. This line of research also focuses on the analysis and synthesis of computational environments in multidisciplinary systems.
This line of research involves the design, specification, and development of environments and tools to support decision-making in ecosystem processes. It aims to design, analyze, and implement computational models. Emphasis is placed on empirical (data-driven) and mechanistic models that address a hierarchy of scales and processes.
