Admissions
The Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGE/UFT) opens admissions annually for the master's program. Public notices are generally published between March and April, with 20 vacancies available each semester. These vacancies are distributed among the program's faculty advisors, usually two vacancies per advisor, at the discretion of the faculty advisor.
Selection for regular students is carried out through several stages, including a curriculum vitae (CV) analysis, a preliminary research project evaluation, an objective test, a written or subjective test, and an interview. The preliminary research project must be in accordancee with the program's research lines and contain the following items: Title, Research Problem, Objective, Justification, Theoretical Foundation, Methodology, and Bibliographic References. The preliminary project cannot exceed ten pages. Full details on the stages are available in the public notice.
The PPGE requires proficiency in a foreign language, with English or Spanish being accepted.
The program accepts students under the "special student" category. Selection processes for this category take place in March and August, depending on the courses offered.
Other Opportunities
In addition to admission as a regular student, PPGE carries out selections for postdoctoral studies, scholarships and accreditation of new professors, depending on demand. The program also participates in major outreach projects, such as Prisme, Universidade da Maturidade, and Educa-TO, which receive federal funding and parliamentary amendments. Internationalization is a strong point of the program, highlighted by the departure of four PPGE students to the University of La Plata, Argentina, in March 2024 for the Sandwich Master's program.
