Research Line I: Economics, Planning and Regional Development:
This line of research addresses topics related to the processes inherent to regional development and planning, based on the interface of economics with other areas of regional and urban planning. The aim is to develop research that highlights sustainable alternative approaches to regional, urban, and rural development processes, such as local productive arrangements, combating poverty and inequality, social management and territorial dynamics, analysis of the institutional environment, and new perspectives on regional development planning.
Research Line II: Society, Public Policies and Regional Development:
This line of research addresses social, political, cultural, and environmental issues related to rural and urban regional problems, considering historical aspects and their temporal and spatial expression. The aim of this line of research is to investigate changes and impacts on regional development processes caused by both state actions and the protagonism of social actors. In addition, this line of research focuses on setting agendas and public policy implementation processes, as well as the evaluation of policies, programs, and projects, using an interdisciplinary approach.
