Admissions
The Postgraduate Program in Communication and Society at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGCom/UFT) opens admissions annually for the master's program. Public notices are generally published in June and July, with the number of vacancies varying depending on the availability of faculty advisors. Vacancies are allocated by faculty advisor.
Regular students are selected based on research project analysis, curriculum vitae (CV) analysis, and interviews. A research project must include the following: Title, Abstract, Problem Statement, Justification, Objectives, Literature Review, Methodology, and References. The project must align with the program's Research Line and the intended advisor's main topic of study.
PPGCom does not conduct a foreign language proficiency test, but requires candidates to demonstrate reading ability in English or Spanish.
Currently, the PPGCom offers admission as a "special student". Selection processes take place every semester, based on the courses offered during the semester.
Other Opportunities
The PPGCom does selection processes for teacher re-accreditation every two years. New teacher accreditation occurs based on the program's needs, with no fixed frequency, and is conducted through a public notice.
