About Educanorte

The Educanorte postgraduate program aims to:

I – Contribute to the integrated production of academic and scientific knowledge about Education in the Amazon and related areas, through the execution of research projects, in alignment with the lines of research proposed by the Program;

II – Meet, through a network structure, the demand for doctoral-level training and capacity building of human resources for higher education and research in Education and related fields in the Amazon region;

III – Contribute to the consolidation of research groups within the participating institutions and to the academic and scientific quality of publications and other outputs, seeking excellence in the production of knowledge about Education and Education in the Amazon as a field of study;

IV – Support the improvement of educational policies and practices implemented in the Amazon, particularly in addressing the low quality of basic education in the region, as evidenced by various official indicators;

V – Strengthen different educational initiatives developed by traditional communities in the Amazon, whether within or outside formal schooling, promoting the recognition and appreciation of traditional peoples and cultures;

VI – Disseminate knowledge through national and international scientific and technical events related to Education and Education in the Amazon, aiming for strong collaboration among researchers and education professionals from the involved institutions.
