Admissions
The Postgraduate Program in History of Amazonian Populations at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGHispam/UFT) opens admissions annually for the master's program, with public notices generally published in December. The program offers 18 vacancies distributed as follows: 11 for open competition, 2 for Indigenous candidates, 2 for Afro-descendant and/or quilombola candidates, and 3 for UFT technical staff through the Staff Qualification Incentive Program. Vacancies are distributed by research line.
The selection process for regular students includes the following stages: a thematic essay test (eliminatory and qualifying), analysis of the letter of intent, preliminary project and candidate's argument (eliminatory and qualifying), and curriculum vitae (CV) evaluation (qualifying). The submission of a preliminary research project is required as part of the selection process.
Although the program requires proficiency in a foreign language (English or Spanish), this requirement is only necessary for curricular completion and not for participation in the selection process.
PPGHispam offers admission under the "special student" modality with public notices published in December and June, for admission in March and August, respectively.
Other Opportunities
The program carries out selection processes for professor accreditation, with public notices published as needed, such as vacancies arising from professors exiting the program, retirements, and other situations.
