About ProfNit
The Professional Master’s Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation (Profnit) is a national network-based, in-person master’s degree dedicated to enhancing professional training to work in the competencies of the Technology Innovation Centers (NITs) and Innovation Promoting Environments across academic, business, government, social organizations, staff and team members of Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs), as well as other related bodies of the National System of Science, Technology, and Innovation (SNCTI).
The program is offered nationwide by the Brazilian Association of Innovation and Technology Transfer Managers (Fortec) and, in the State of Tocantins, by the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), through the Research and Extension Center Observatory of Applied Research to Journalism and Teaching (Opaje).
Offered at the Palmas Campus since the second semester of 2018 to graduates from various courses and fields, the program takes an interdisciplinary perspective. Besides providing an opportunity for advanced (stricto sensu) training to professionals from various areas in the State of Tocantins, the master’s program aims to broaden discussions and research that are up-to-date and committed to the local reality. It inaugurates a new phase of investigations and dedication to quality education in the region, as well as establishing a dialogue between intellectual property and global issues in contemporary society.
