Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation in Technology Innovation Centers (NITs)
Analytical and practical studies on the competencies of NITs and their institutional policies for technological innovation according to the legal framework and sectoral policies. Encouragement of protection for inventions, research results, and technological development, including prior art searches, processing, and maintenance of intellectual property (IP) rights across various knowledge areas. Technology transfer in its diverse forms and across multiple key sectors and their interrelationships, identification of market niches and technology-based innovation environments and their systemic interactions, entrepreneurship, identification of bottlenecks and market opportunities for adequate technology transfer (competitive intelligence). The goal is to promote the use of these technologies by society and contribute to development and economic growth at local, regional, and global levels, improving population living standards, boosting Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and driving the Human Development Index (HDI).
