Admissions
The Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGCTA/UFT) conducts annual selection processes for admission to the master’s and doctoral courses, with calls for applications usually published in October and November. The program offers approximately ten openings for the master’s and ten for the doctorate. These openings are allocated by advisor, respecting an equal and balanced distribution of the total number of advisees over the four-year period.
The selection of regular students is based on the evaluation of academic records and CVs, as well as the submission of a research project and a foreign language exam (English for master’s candidates and English and Spanish for doctoral candidates). There is no standardized model for the research project; however, the requirements regarding structure and format are detailed in the selection notices.
PPGCTA generally does not issue calls for admission in the "special student" category.
Other Opportunities
The program holds selections for postdoctoral scholarships at variable intervals, depending on resource availability.
