About Proef

The Professional Master’s Program in Physical Education in the National Network (ProEF) is an on-site course, offered in a hybrid model nationwide, conducted by a network of Higher Education Institutions associated within the scope of the Professional Master’s Program for Basic Education Teachers (ProEB), coordinated by CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel).

It is a proposal that brings together 26 Higher Education Institutions, including the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Higher School of Physical Education of the University of Pernambuco (UPE), Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), State University of Maringá (UEM), Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), University of Brasília (UnB), Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Regional University of Northwestern Rio Grande do Sul (Unijuí), Federal University of Ceará (UFC), Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), State University of Southwestern Bahia (UESB), Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS), Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), State University of Piauí (UESPI), State University of Montes Claros (UNIMONTES), Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Southeastern Minas Gerais (IFSULDESTEMG), Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), and Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), coordinated by the Paulista State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP) – campuses of Presidente Prudente, Bauru, and Rio Claro.

The ProEF proposal brings together experienced researchers in the required specialties within the concentration area of School Physical Education, clearly committed to continuing in-service training for practicing Physical Education teachers in Basic Education.

The ProEF student profile consists of teachers who have graduated from Physical Education degree programs and are actively teaching in the public education network. These are teachers working in Physical Education across different schooling stages, seeking technical-scientific contributions to improve their professional practices. Considering the demands for an effective, democratic, and equitable school system, with specific qualification needs, ProEF is composed of teachers interested in acquiring knowledge that can impact, in a contextualized and innovative way, the environment in which they work.
