Language without Borders
Idioma sem Fronteiras (IsF) — Languages Without Borders is a program of the Federal Government whose main objective is to promote actions that support a language policy for the internationalization of Brazilian Higher Education.
The program includes initiatives such as teacher training, language courses for students, faculty, and administrative staff of accredited higher education institutions, as well as training for foreigners to develop proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese, among other actions.
IsF offers placement and proficiency tests, online courses—some with in-person or remote tutoring—and in-person classes.
At UFT, IsF activities are carried out by the Center for Continuing Studies in Languages, Linguistics, and Arts (Ceclla), an outreach program affiliated with the Undergraduate Degree in Language Studies at UFT, located on the Porto Nacional Campus, in partnership with the University’s Coordination of Internationalization.
