Research Line I: Geoenvironmental Analysis and Management
Anchors studies and research in the field of the environment, in which natural processes and social actions and practices are interconnected. It will thus develop research in geographic climatology, geomorphological and geological processes, geoecology, and landscape.
Research Line II: Geoterritorial Studies
Aims to analyze agrarian and urban dynamics, processes of regionalization, and the cultural dimension of space, emphasizing the approach to forms and to the territorial and spatial structures created by human action in agrarian, urban, and regional contexts.
Research Line III: Geography Teaching
This research line seeks to highlight Geography in the dimension of teaching and proposes to discuss Geography in the context of school education and teacher training, the relationship between Geography and formal and non-formal education, the teaching–learning relationship in Geography, culture–art–memory–imagination in Geography teaching, technologies and pedagogical practices, Geography teaching and Environmental Education, and the geographic categories within the teaching–learning relationship.
