Admissions
The Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Conservation at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGBec/UFT) opens admissions annually to the master's program, with public notices generally published in October and November. The program offers approximately 19 vacancies, with one vacancy per PPG advisor.
The selection process for regular students consists of two stages: a pre-project review and interview (eliminatory), and a curriculum vitae (CV) review (qualifying). Candidates must submit a pre-project that includes the intended line of research (Biology and Diversity, Conservation and Management, or Population and Community Ecology), project title, general objective, specific objectives, and materials and methods. The pre-project must be a maximum of one page long, written in Arial font size 12.
Successful applicants must prove English proficiency by submitting the relevant documentation issued within the last two years, at the time of enrollment. Certificates or declarations from various institutions, including the UFT Language Center, TOEFL, IELTS, MTELP, and others, are accepted, with minimum scores specified in the public notices.
PPGBec offers admission as a "special student", through selection based on curriculum vitae (CV) analysis, with public notices generally published in February and August.
Other Opportunities
The program carries out selection processes for postdoctoral studies and scholarships on an occasional basis, depending on the availability of scholarships, with selection based on project, interview and curriculum vitae (CV) analysis.
Professor accreditation occurs at the beginning of each four-year Capes evaluation, through curriculum vitae (CV) analysis.
