Regulation
The Professional Master’s Degree in Philosophy (Prof-Filo) at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), as part of a network composed of twenty-five higher education institutions across Brazil and coordinated by the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), operates as a hub that enjoys a certain degree of pedagogical and administrative autonomy.
In this regard, Prof-Filo/UFT uses the general network regulations as its foundational reference, while, at the management level, it follows the bylaws governing stricto sensu graduate programs at UFT.
On the one hand, matters such as faculty and student appointment orders, rules for affiliation and disaffiliation, the academic record system, and diploma issuance are regulated by UFT’s internal norms. On the other hand, the curriculum framework, annual and quarterly planning, and the rules for admission and graduation are governed by the general network regulations headquartered at UFPR.
In addition, the program has its founding document, the “Evaluation of Proposals for New Courses (APCN),” which contains its history, graduate profile, course syllabi, and other relevant information.
