Admissions
The Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering at the Federal University of Tocantins (PPGEA/UFT) conducts annual selection processes for regular master’s students. The calls for applications are generally published between October and December, offering 20 to 30 openings per period, with approximately 20–25 for general competition and 5 reserved for affirmative action. Vacancies are allocated according to concentration area and faculty advisor.
Student selection occurs in three stages: interview, curriculum analysis, and evaluation of the research pre-project. Submission of a pre-project is mandatory, following the guidelines specified in the current public notice.
Students must demonstrate proficiency in English within 18 months of enrollment, as a requirement for program completion.
PPGEA also offers admission as a “special student,” through a selection process based on the internal regulations and the general graduate program rules of UFT. The call for applications is usually published at the end of the first semester for enrollment in the second semester, when elective courses are offered.
Other Opportunities
In addition to regular admissions, the program conducts selections for the accreditation of new faculty members, according to needs identified in biennial evaluations of the teaching staff, following the applicable internal regulations.
