Research Line I: Social Service and Social Policies:
This line of research is shaped by the theoretical reflections developed by Social Work on social policy, especially within the scope of social security, as a socio-occupational space. It brings together content that includes studies, guidance, and research on social work, social policies, and the contradictory configurations of the contemporary State, social demands, and the challenges of social inequalities engendered by capitalism. It brings together discussions and studies on the concepts of social policy, trends, and evaluation typologies, as well as sectoral social policies and the implementation and management of social policies within the context of national and regional specificities.
Research Line II: Social Service, diversity and human rights:
This line brings together research on contemporary social work, emphasizing the understanding of human rights as a universe of fundamental guarantees to human beings in their material and social dimensions. It draws on professional experiences that prioritize debate and professional intervention within social classes and their intersections between gender, sexuality, race/ethnicity, and generational differences, the demands of traditional groups and communities, and the process of exploitation inherent in the capitalist mode of production. Finally, it seeks to understand the relationship between the process of social violence that opposes human rights and affirms neoconservatism as a foundation for mitigating diversity. It brings together advanced studies on the articulation of social work with human rights and diversity, considering regional aspects that are expressed within the scope of social life.
