Admissions
The Professional Master's Program in Mathematics in National Network (ProfMat) conducts anual selection processes for admission to the master's program. The public calls are usually published in August and September, with approximately eighteen vacancies per period. The vacancies are distributed on a fixed basis and filled through the National Admission Exam (ENA).
Selection for regular students takes place exclusively through a multiple-choice test administered nationally by the ENA. It is not necessary to submit a research pre-project during the selection process.
After admission, students must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language, in accordance with the UFT’s postgraduate regulations and the internal rules of the program. Proficiency can be demonstrated either through a certificate accepted by the program or by taking an internal exam assessed by a ProfMat committee.
The program also offers admission in the “special student” modality. For this purpose, specific public calls for this category are published each semester.
Other Opportunities
The selection process for regular students is conducted exclusively through the ENA, organized by the national coordination and administered by the associated institution—in this case, ProfMat UFT, Arraias Campus.
