Biodiversity, Ecology and Conservation

The area of concentration aims to train human resources for research and teaching in biodiversity, ecology, management, and conservation. The goal is to train professionals to analyze and describe terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity in multiple dimensions, with the goal of identifying and understanding the structure and patterns in ecological systems, especially in the Cerrado and the Amazon. It also seeks to share knowledge about biodiversity as a means of improving natural resource management and socio-environmental quality in the country, particularly in the Northern region.
